Tax Classes

Tax classes are types of goods or services that are taxed at a set rate. Set up tax classes before setting up tax locations and tax location groups.

ClosedCreating a Tax Class
  1. Click the New button, on the toolbar, to open a blank tax class record.
    Note: The tax class number automatically assigns to the Tax Class field.
  2. Enter a description of the new tax class in the Description field.
  3. Close the screen to save the new tax class.
ClosedEditing a Tax Class
  1. Determine a tax class code to edit.
  2. Edit the Description field as necessary.
  3. Close the screen to save any changes made to the tax class.
ClosedDeleting a Tax Class
  1. Select a tax class code to delete from the Tax Class field.
  2. Click the Delete button, on the toolbar, to delete the selected tax class.
  3. Click Yes at the "Are you sure you want to delete selected record(s)?" prompt.
